Minneapolis, Minnesota. April 19, 2017—Managers On A Mission (MOAM) awarded 3 scholarships to applicants for the Texon Athletic Scholarship in the spring of 2015.

The three scholarships were awarded thanks to our generous sponsors: Texon Athletic Towel & Laundry Supply and Herma’s Readers.
  • First place was $1000 and awarded to Christopher Dendinger (Women's Basketball Manager at Ohio University)
  • Second Place was $500 and awarded to McIntry Webb (Men's Basketball Manager at Western Michigan University)
  • Third Place was $250 and awarded to Evan Shaheen (Football Manager at Louisville)
The winners were selected based on their essay in response to the book Lead ... for God's Sake by Todd Gongwer. 120 copies were distributed by MOAM to Student Managers throughout the country.

The scholarship review panel was an expert college basketball panel including Tubby Smith (Head Coach of Texas Tech Men’s Basketball), Mike Ellis (Founder of Villa 7), and Andy Farrell (Co-Founder of Rising Coaches Elite).

MOAM is a non-profit that collects new and gently used sports apparel from coaches and teams on both college and professional levels around the country.
