Texon Athletics 2015 Spring Scholarships

Minneapolis, Minnesota. February 1, 2015—Managers On A Mission (MOAM) is now accepting applications for the Texon Athletics 2015 Spring Scholarships for Student Managers. 

Thanks to generous sponsors, Texon Towel and Herma’s Readers, three scholarships will be awarded; first place will be $1000, second place is $500, and third place is $250. 

MOAM has distributed 120 copies of Lead...for God's Sake by Todd Gongwer to select student managers throughout the country. To apply for the scholarship contestants must read the book and reflect on the question provided on the website, http://www.managersonamission.org/scholarships.html. All applications can be submitted to scholarships@managersonamission.org. 

Applications are due May 15th, and will be reviewed by an expert college basketball panel including; Tubby Smith (Head Coach of Texas Tech Men’s Basketball), Mike Ellis (Founder of Villa 7), and Andy Farrell (Co-Founder of Rising Coaches Elite).

Texon Athletic Towel & Laundry Supply is a leading sports equipment vendor and family owned business, which provides athletic towel, laundry and locker room supply to high schools, colleges, and professional athletics around the country. 

Herma’s Readers is a literacy foundation focused on building kids into stronger readers. Founded by Virginia Tech Head Football Coach, Frank Beamer, the non-profit delivers books collected at the Virginia Tech football games to kids who could benefit from them. They have raised more than 58,000 books since it’s founding in 2008.

MOAM is a non-profit that collects new and gently used sports apparel from coaches and teams on both college and professional levels around the country. MOAM funds mission trips, service projects, and scholarships with a Christ centered focus by maximizing the platform afforded to the sports industry. The vision of MOAM is to see the world positively impacted by the faith, talent, and resources of the sports industry.
