Wow, a week and a half gone like that. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. I guess time flies by when you're having the time of your life fellowshipping with amazing people. I cannot describe the joy that I have every day I wake up here in Malawi. The country is stunning, and its people are equally as amazing. The days are moving faster and faster sadly. We have had so much fun teaching the kids about basketball and the Lord. I must say that they have taught me a good bit too. Their knowledge of the Lord and the Bible is quite impressive.
All the kids here are full of energy. There are no breaks because someone is always down to play a few games of knockout! I enjoy the time I spend with these kids, they are blessings to my life and my spirituality. I think I enjoy our nightly devotions the best. Here we see the young children of God that these Momma's and administrators are sculpting. They are able to have intelligent conversations and lessons on God's word and will. I would never try and get into a bible reciting competition with any of the kids because they would run circles around me. Even when I think I've picked the perfect scripture for my devotions they are all over it!
I've been blessed with this opportunity to serve here in Malawi, and I owe it all to MOAM and the Lord. My group has been awesome thus far, and we've worked together flawlessly. Even through 5 missing bags of luggage for 3 days we persevered. I think that God has a wonderful plan for this group, and the Rafiki village of Malawi. I can see him working everyday through the kids, missionaries, and my fellow group members. I know that long after I'm settled back at home in Texas, I will long to be here in Mzuzu, Malawi.
Thanks to God Almighty!
Thank you,
