Minneapolis, Minnesota. April 19, 2017—Managers On A Mission (MOAM) had the opportunity to begin a new scholarship program for student managers though partnership with generous sponsors Texon Towel, author Darrin Gray, and Herma’s Readers. The first $500 scholarship was awarded to Demi Reynolds (Olympic Sports Manager at Wake Forest University).
Scholarship applicants were judged based on essays in response to the book The Jersey Effect by Darrin Gray. Herma’s Readers donated $1000 to purchase copies at a discount from the author to be distributed to applicants throughout the country. MOAM is a non-profit that collects new and gently used sports apparel from coaches and teams on both college and professional levels around the country. MOAM funds mission trips, service projects, and scholarships with a Christ centered focus by maximizing the platform afforded to the sports industry. The vision of MOAM is to see the world positively impacted by the faith, talent, and resources of the sports industry.
